Next up flooring...

Okay, so Janell typed the first entry and she lied (Well not lied but had the order of things wrong). Next up was sub flooring not the framing. This happened on Monday, April 23rd. Brianna just LOVES her new house as you can see from the above picture. She had the best time just jumping up and down on her new floor!

Not only was the flooring being worked on, but Clay's domain was also started. His second garage now has the footings and foundation complete. His plan is to make it big enough to have a work shop in it with a lift. This will help a lot with all of the side jobs he does on cars.

Then on Wednesday, April 25th the framing finally began. As you can see we now have walls!!! All of the framing on the first floor is done. Next week they will start on the second floor. Just to let you know what all is on the main floor, we have a Foyer, Formal Living Room, Formal Dining Room, Kitchen, Breakfast Area, Great Room, Laundry Room, Half Bath, Master suite with His and Her closets and large master bath.

We have finally started our new Home!!!!!

We have finally begun building our dream home and couldn't be more excited. March 27th was the first day of construction and the footers were laid for the whole house. We never knew how gorgeous concrete could look, but man it is pretty! It was amazing how the crew got everything done in one day.

Next up was the brick foundation. This was started on March 28th. We chose a gorgeous brick called Winyah Bay that is hand-made. Once the brick is made is gets sent down a belt where it mixes with light colored sand. Then it goes on another belt to get brushed against a black sand. This gives it a really pretty shade of grey with black highlights. Next step will be the framing of the walls.
